Rome Italy #9 Pizza day

#Rome #9
Pizza day

Its all about the crust and the topping
but first the crust.

                                                                Roscioli

Doing a back to back flight is hard...
what does it mean, it means I went to Rome slept there and came back home slept there and went back to Rome and will sleep here again...

work
sleep in Rome
work
sleep in Montreal
work
sleep in Rome

Including jet lag...dont add any more comment on this
but luckily for me we left on time ! Yeah!

We arrived in Rome, got to our hotel and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait for the freakin room!

We can not get it all. like I used to say: There is always a price to pay

Last night, our take off took a different height, we jump and drop,  not ounce but twice!
It was quite impressive.

Anyway this being said, lets get on with ROMA. Since, I have been working so hard and having leg problem tissues, today I took it easy.

I slept 2 hours and a half I think, got up and went on my usual in Rome i!i!i!
It makes me laugh when I say that.

Oh my god, I will never get used to this heat, trust me, its too much,
I want to go back in but I had my nice little dress on so I will keep on walking until I get used to the heat and be properly cook on both side ah ah ah!

Today's goal: is to find the Roscioli grocery store, get some pizza at Forno in Campo di fiori and find some pistachio crema to spread on my toast in the morning when I go back home.

Come along this wonderful walk.

On my way there, I stopped at the famous Raphael hotel, where the view on top is supposed to be nice.
Got up there, it was nice, order my cappucino to start the day and was extremely deceived to receive a cold cappucino; didnt order a fretto here people, nup!
a cappucino!
I was not happy at all.
Then, waited for ever to pay the guy.
He came up on the roof with a side dish of little bites to eat, I didnt order that sir, and im finish drinking my cold cappucino thanks a lot body!

I was not impress and finally the guy realized he made a mistake and didnt charge me for the coffee
and i didnt even said abything, it was simply not a pleasant experience to received a cold coffee at the prestigious St Raphael hotel....and the view bottom line is not that great always electric wires here and then.

I went to Roscioli grocery and realized this is the one I felt for many years ago and recognized the place immediately, how strange it was.

It was really a coup de coeur when I went and still is. I remember going there one afternoon.

but what I didnt know, a few houses down, there is another Roscioli place, where you can eat cafeteria style, standing up at a counter or fancy way upstairs.
I choose the cafeteria style of course.
I was greeted with a nice orange flavored cold glass of water, how nice was that.
Than, I ordered some coffee to bring back home and decided to be tempted with a pizza square.
As it was PIZZA DAY I was fine i!i!i!

Oh Mamamia!
The crust was perfect. Crispy and delicious!
Topping was simple: tomatoe but I was bitting into a great pizza!
Too bad they didnt have many type to taste but I was happy I tried it.
The barrista guys were very typical  and ressourceful.
I was very happy to finally find where it was.

Im getting by, now, in Italian
si, si, si!

So after that, I did some window shopping and saw the most adorable little white chow chow Lena the dog; so cute! never saw a white chow chow before.

Great walk around Campo di fiori square, in and out little streets around it. Its not great in the middle of the afternoon, the market is gone. At night, it full of tables and people dining all together in that big huge square but in the afternoon nothing much is going on here.

I finally went to get my pizza.
Oh my! i hope its good, it looks delicious!
mushroom, fungi, artichokes, margarita, and the famous potatoe pizza every Romans like
I brough a lot of pizza for my mom and sister to try on tomorrow for dinner.
Afterwards, I finally found a place to get my pistachio crema
sooooooooooooooo delicious!
not cheap tho.

I went to sit at piazza navona for a while and decided to hit back home to the hotel while my legs can still bring me home...getting red again...and numb.

On my way there, I found another pizza place, organic, so there, I took a pesto pizza and margerita to compare with Forno

back thru piazza di popolo where Rosati place is
again full of tourist like me who will be charge 9 euros 50 to sip an orane juice  at their table
terrace is full

oh well now i know better or they all do like me sit where the intello sat ounce before them

back to my room I was tired and i didnt do much today

had my pizza in the hotel watching the eartquake situation again on tv
and voila another beautiful day in Rome

nice
I was trying to take picture but it was difficult because there were a few people there on the terrace.

when you go inside you know there is good product here.

I want to buy this cooking book

                                                                            nice coffee nice packaging
                                                                very tempting

will finish down loading tomorrow this hotel internet sucks its so slow pisses me off
good night everyone.

I want to bring this lamp to my house

me walking
camera was going on by it self funny!

the other place
the pizza basilic and pine nuts was to die for the margerita not so much

                                                                Grano frutta e farina

here the crust was bigger but organic like the
 woman insisted to tell me.

P.S. Today Monday the 31th of August went to see the interne doctor
the verdict:
confirmation of my edema, numbness of feet, headache, heart problem, heavy rash on both my legs was a virus caught in Rome!!!!!

confirmation of this other kind of rash that add it up on my leg that looks like a straight line pimples
fucking bed bugs caught in Rome hotel in Trident area.

2 souvenirs of Rome I can forget here shit!

oh no!
Hope they didn't follow me home.
mother fucker
mother suckers....
god dam bed bug
unfortunately since its a hotel where my company send me i can not post the name.
And im going there again tomorrow to sleep with bed bugs
brrrr!

.....

Pizza day!
Its all about the crust.......... and the topping
again fresh ingredients from Roma who would complain
me
all nice but need salt, garlic, oignons.....

so the basilic and pine nuts was the most tasty!
GRANO FRUTTA E FARINA

not the marguerita but the basilic and pine nuts

and for the best crust
Roscioli

for the most variety especially the fungi portobello pizza
Campo di fiori
very tasty

So really can not decide just yet who is the winner...I love them 3 for different reason.

I can not tell you a price it all depends of the size of pizza you take.
Most of the pizza place are reasonable in price
And needed to say: dont order pizza in a regular restaurant its terrible.

Bringing back pizza doesnt taste the same as over there...
unfortunately unless you pick it up the same day.

will continued....my journey in Rome in 2 days
stay tune!
