Personnellement je trouve que connaitre quelques mots dans la langue du pays que vous visitez rend les choses plus faciles pour vous et démontre aux gens une volonté de communiquer avec eux.
Alors voici le MANDARIN PINYING a ma façon. Je trouve qu apprendre le mandarin est comme si on apprenait 2 langues voir 3 langues EN meme temps meme si on a facilité la langue en inventant le pyning les résonances ne sonnent pas pareil donc vous devez apprendre a lire e mot puis ensuite apprendre a rendre des sons différents; sans compter apprendre l'écriture mais pour moi je m'étais donné un challenge en 2017 et comme ma compagnie aérienne commence des vols vers l'Asie je me suis dis pourquoi pas. Je vais y aler vendredi et j y retournerai 2 autres fois en mars en espérant d aimer mon expérience en Chine. Je suis tres excitée de faire un nouveau vol et d'Aller en Chine. Je suis allée à Hong Kong mais ce n'est pas la Chine... Apres 14 heures de vol 2 heures de route pour me rendre a l hotel vais-je pouvoir me rappeler mon nom? Heureusement que nous restons dans un superbe hotel pour une fois.

• House curry micture to put on y mel to give me enough antioxydant.
• And a pair of chop sticks.

Yes it's a day flight to go but remember you have a day to catch up...it will play a trick on you.

Flight
(if you want to know what I do while you sleep)
Very busy flight new service long long flight ahead of me a day flight and a night flight at the same time. My body has to adjust with this portion of work.I told myself its like my regular day in Montreal but a little more busier than my usual day before a flight. New service+Supervisor on board. We serve a bar than a meal service. You have the choice between 2 Chinese meal beef or pork. Niu ro or Zhoro. Than some of us go to bed while the other continue being busy answering the annoying bell that sound extremely loud. Not only we complaint about it but anyone around the galley and the washroom can hear this constant alarm bell all over the aircraft.

Bring big ear plugs
So rule number 1:
Put a hoody on, bring some night shades, ear plugs, something sweet and something salty, chips a 1 liter bottle of water that you can buy after you pass security and a thermos to drink hot water or camomile during your flight.
Than after, when half our group come back to work we proceed with a nice snack.
A great fresh ham and cheese sandwich coffee tea chinese tea or hot water.
This one is actually very good. If you are not hungry keep it for the morning...
Then the other half of us, goes to bed while the others are busy getting the breakfast ready and answering all the individual requests. Medical call, duty free and all.
We had 2 medical on our shift. Mixing alcool and pills on a plane can put your life in danger.
For me this service is the best. The best Sandwich snack we serve on board ever.
During the flight, passengers get up and come to help themselves on a special cart with cookies or pretzels.


Suggestion for you the passenger:

Stop everything you are doing and go to bed. Get some sleep now you will have a good 4 hours before breakfast plenty of sleep to have a nice dinner and a nice evening out in Shanghai after your extremely long flight.


Aerial Sight seing :

Than the flight is almost over. We are ready for our third service and we light up the windows of the plane to look outside.
-Oh!Yes! We are in CHINA! or RUSSIA MAYBE MONGOLIA!

Breakfast is serve

You have the choice between a Chinese breakfast or a Canadian breakfast. Congee a typical Chinese porridge with meat not sweet at all or a Canadian breakfast an omelette with white sausage maybe the sausage represent our Canadian winter not sure. Where is our maple sirup?

Je dois servir le déjeuner Un choix de déjeuner Chinois ou Canadien.  Du CONGEE.Un gruau Chinois avec de la viande non sucré ou une omelette Canadienne. UNE OMELETTE. Une omelette avec une saucisse blanche pas trop Canadien peut-etre que la saucisse blanche représente la neige blanche de l'hiver je ne sais pas trop. Ou est le sirop d'érable?

around 5.40 getting out of the airport is quite easy not as big as Toronto and a little bigger than Montreal get ready to walk no stamp from China in your passport they wont give you one

I heard 18 mins by speed train but you still need to get a taxi for your hotel
Taxi ride 30mins depend on traffic

Smog factor
Get yourself a smog app for Shanghai this will help you to decide on: mask or no mask
It hits you right there. Breath slowly you will adjust.

Endless highways but I recommand the speed train distance between airport and Pudong
30 minutes or so by the time you get to your hotel pitch black and a lot of people recommand the taxi
so I dont know we get a big bus for the crew so...

No way ! Im a flight attendant and I get a view like this imagine yours.
WOA!  Its  worth the 14 hours flight. Quick I need to unpack fast  and get out while I still have the energy to do something.

DONT STAY IN GET OUT 
KNOW YOUR HOTEL SURROUNDING 
ENJOY THE VIEW 
HAVE YOURSELF A LIGHT SNACK 
AND GO TO BED EARLY.

The view when I get out the hotel. I mean I like old stuff but this is something to see. Embrace what Chinese can accomplish in 20 years to catch up on time and to join the rest of the group on this planet is simply speechless. Maybe they surpass us in many ways beside human conditions.

                                        That is the coolest modern building I have ever seen so far.

                                          So humongous...Bottom line people WATCH OUT
                       I think they were just giving us  a head start but we didn't do much compare to them
                       but at what price...We are not here to discuss this issue but to admire this city for this                            moment.

                        This is sad to see that the Chinese didn't resist the American fast food
                              I wish there was a law to let them in but unable to post their sign

 FOR ME THIS BEAT ALL THE BIGGEST BUILDING BECAUSE OF ITS UNIQUENESS

Just so you know around 10 ish at night the light goes down a couple of notch outside so if you have pictures to take do it before 10.

Alor ssi vous avez besoin de plusieurs source au cas ou l une d entre elle tomberait en panne mieux vaut prévoir le coup d'avance.

OH MY GOD! The buffet is the size of a football field. Chinese, american style or indian cuisine but for millions of people. No trace of communism here for sure. its not Cuba either.

So Im having won ton soup, omelette,a little steam bun baozzi, some spicy sauce
and voila! Coffee and a great modern view.

Around 8 ish. ok. Im taking a taxi to go to the garden area and explore.
( while others eat a granola bar in their hotel room and never put a foot outside the hotel )
I ask for a chinese map,hotel card written in chinese and the way we go
fix price of the fare by the meter 56.56 divided by 5. no problem!

the guy barely speaks english yes no he tells me in mandarin over there ok

                          its pretty clean but where are the 34 millions people leaving here

I spotted a gathering further up the road im going there ( its on my video)
a full street selling encent merchants selling to people who are going to the temple to pray
im invited to get a ticket over there buy encent over here and the way we go: me and my camera of course. What a perfect spot to start the day in China to ground you on how lucky you are to just be here and see all this my camera is hanging in my neck so very low profil here movie will be down loaded one day but not today internet is too slow.

So far my day is extremely great. I went to see the garden

on my way there on my 16 Gb memory chip I realized IM OUT OF FUCKING SPACE
how can that be this new camera no its the memory card my sister told me take small card the speed is faster ya right now im out of SPACE how can that be i am just starting my day
im about to cry what do you expect my brand new camera arrived 1 day later so i didnt have time to play with it and had a feel for it so its ok I will find a camera shop and im coming back so this time its no big deal i told myself I have my cell phone I manage to find a store not too far away from where I was and bargain my first deal in mandarin yes I was very proud of myself except that
I told myself  I will only buy a 8G just to help me out too finish the day here 50 cash
50 on the credit card 100 for the 8 memory card to save my day is not bad divided by 5

                                               this is the place i will try my famous dumplings

                           its about 4 times the price from downstairs but there is no one here

                                       i can rest while i learn how to eat dumplings properly

                   eating dumplings is not recommanded on a first date if you know what I mean

                                 o! I found out after eating that this is where they do my dumplings
                                           well I hope its cold in that room like a fridge

          now the line up to go to the restaurant or downstair line up my timing was right on!

I went for tea in the 200 years old tea house after that but htis time my battery was dead

So to finish my day I did had a wonderful experience around and at the garden area. I went for amazing dumplings when I got out of the restaurant there was a huge line up to get in million of people around me oh my god dumpling at this famous place 8.5 on 10 tea and dumpling I think it was around 98 the tea not my forte it taste nothing much than hot water...

I didnt want to leave the place without having tea in the 200 year old tea house in the middle of the garden maybe there its better. so i went up i was alone inside amazing peaceful and zen i was up looking at everyone not to be miss I finish it up with paonia tea up at the tea garden was wonderful and peaceful.

Out of the restaurant. Reality shock. So many people even tho I took their pictures the feeling to be in a crowded area made me worry. And suddenly panick to go back to the hotel what if i dont find a taxi oh my god! What time is it ? I have to go back to the hotel before noon in order to rest for that long flight. Oh my! Oh boodha! I tell everyone what to do However this being said I didnt think of taking my battery back up and my memory chip back up with me since I was just going for 1 morning visit and I used to have another camera similar to this one the powershot 50 it did not use as much juice...
Luckily I had my cell phone with me to take pictures in the tea house...

Its so big so busy so unbelievable. China was hidding all those years to show us not only they can be like us but they can be way better in term of infrastructure for human conditions that is an all other chapter but look at this. We can not even connect tthe entire Canada with train or decent routes ...we are so behind our times compare to this.

I was very delighted to discover Shanghai. I brought back some oolong tea hua tea some ma pao sauce black bean sauce and black vinegar Chinese basalmic vinegar use for cooking or dipping your jaozi. excellent.

PAY OFF TIME FOR MY 24 HOURS VACATION

My return flight was a nightmare as I was unable to sleep. Even tho I walk all morning, I tought after my first service, I was going to sleep like everyone else on this planet. No. My mind could not stop thinking. So it was quite a long return flight. We do get 48 hours crew rest. Thank god for that.

My return home was a nightmare as well. The next morning, I was tired I had to admit but I was excited to show my pictures on the the big screen but since the videos were too long the tv couldnt read it so by putting them on the computer we could see them and in the mean time I was cooking chicken ma pao and I got suddenly very tired not knowing what I was doing and could not find the rest of my pictures...Oh! nightmare! I was very sad but since I was going back to Shanghai 2 more times it was ok and it was my first time out with my camera and using a chinese memory card.
But you dont realise how much you are tired. A couple of days later, I realized the rest of the pictures were still on my usb plug on the tv....shit! I kept on putting the same memory chip back on...

As for my powershot camera sx 60 connection with the wifi
Not only I was unable to connect but the geak at Best buy either and at Canon.
But how can that be? They are the expert. My camera is broken I didnt even use it. 1 bloody day.
And lesson to be learn here.
Never buy somthing on line with as much value because when its time to return it they dont send you the bill of the camera. So how could I return the camera. I do have the amount on my credit card but not enough. When I went to Best buy I also complaint about paying for the express delivery that I wanted to be reimbourse as it arrived 1 day later then the date it was supposed to arrive. She told me to go on line. So rude. The customer service was not good at all either.  Sad when you think I always go there for my electronic stuff.

My other Shanghai flight was cancelled I ended up in Paris. Grey dirty Paris. Rain on top of it. No fun. Hope my flight on Friday will be going so I can post more pictures.
