Israel Tel Aviv

Lay over in Tel Aviv during High alert

Im leaving for 96 jours
lucky me
After an horrible week at home this will be perfect
laying down
at the beach and getting a bit of sunshine

We will leave for Tel Aviv waiting for the plane to get clean.
( previous flight on our aircraft people were off apparently quarantine case )

While we wait  I browse the net on Tel Aviv.
My search finds out Tel Aviv is sending rockets in Gaza...
omg
our alternate route if we dont land will be Athen
ok
Tension rise
but I need money
than I will be
ready to face the challenge
...
The flight went really good
strangely
people were scared too.

We arrived and I went to bed
My room face the bunker
what is the bunker:
Stair case of the hotel
thats all there is to it.

You hear the alarm
you run in there
You have exactly 1 minute and half before the explosion
will it be normal biological
we dont know?

After sleeping 4 hours, I went to buy some food as it will be shabbatt tomorrow.

I love to grab smoke salmon and cream cheese with dill and a bagel,
some houmous, fresh peanuts and dattes.

After the food provision, down at the grocery,  I went to
exercise.

The
hotel is connected to this huge mall.

I will do my 10,000 steps in there and will get a power bank for my cellI in case I figure if I am about to spend the night in the bunker might as well have my cell fully charge.
A power bank that wil last me 30 hours, some snacks, toilet paper etc...and my frontal lamp I should be good.
So I did myself a bunker bag
imagine...

I rather be prepared for the worse.

So you wonder...where is the bunker in the mall
do you go up or down ?
After walking 10,000 steps, getting myself a power bank I returned to my room, here I will have a great view of the rockets...

Nothing, nothing, nothing.

The action is closer to Jerusalem 72 km away from Tel Aviv.

I went to bed and around 3 oclock at night something woke me up...
shit!
I could not believe my eye
It wasnt a rocket
I had been attack by moskitoes...
my eye, my wrist, my other arm...
omg
so itchy so bad
I had to get up and move  to change room.
I did not go to a bunker but I had to change room...shit!

There was no fucking way I was going to stay in that room.

I was here for 96 hours so I had taken everything out of my suit case and look at my eye, I could not open it and my cheek was big, I ended it up with a big clot in my skin for 2 days
shit!

no fun
You wonder if it was a  bed bug or a spider.

Usually bed bug are in soots of 3 ...

Difficult to go back to bed

Second day

I went to the beach.
16 shekels a long chair divided by 3 in canadian dollar
not too many people on the beach.

Now, I heard from a  flight attendant who was there when  they had an alarm
she had to run in the bunker.

So, I ask her to  show us where was the bunker at the beach.
and I had to run in there in 1 minute and a half in deep sand...hum!
I figure I could get there
You are not aloud to bring your bag with you
you just run
ok
no its not ok
but this is how you live here in Tel Aviv on high alert ...

When I came back from Tel Aviv it felt like a war zone
I was sick I cought a pneumonia
probably from the clim of the second room that was not working very well...

London in Covid time september 09 2020

I was here for 2 days layover I didn't plan to do much since I have to go home 24 hrs and come back here but who doesn't go out of their room in #LOndon is probably inside with #COVID ah ah ah or can not get out because of their health condition. It,s so hard to resist going out. So yesterday I was on the lookout for special paintbrushes for my sister. Since I had no plan to do anything. All those trips back and forth to Europe are getting me tired or should I say jet-lagged. I dont know which time zone to live in. This was the good thing about Asia I never had jet lag in Asia and the day after our flight I would function very well but Europe oh did I forgot how much it kills you really. So, I have never been to that area Hamstead. Its a bit rough I walk on Finley but never seem to find this Jackson Art supplies shop too bad. I ended up having lunch at the Hamstead art school and a nice cappuccino. The problem is I dont have internet so it's problematic when you google it... A chance to meet a nice guy but hey a conversation with a mask is a nightmare. Afterward, I went on Oxford to Mark and Spencer to get some cheddar cheese for winter. Freeze it and its perfect to use. I walk on Oxford a bit to Primark and it was getting full so I got out it was time for me to go back to the hotel. There were too many people out. I ordered fish and chips in my room to be on the safe side. Unfortunately, my sister when I reach her, later on, she was not happy about it I will try it next time I come back because tomorrow, I had planned something else.

Today, I went to hang out around the London Bridge area probably where I would live in London.

The view is spectacular the waterfront and its full of little restaurants and all its probably great at night but oh now it's empty trust me; this area is vast.

I never came here in 25 years that I have been coming to London. Too tired to take the tube to figure out your way around but after being in Tokyo last year, its seems to be a piece of cake now but...

I came here once with a ship on my way to Greenwich and went we were about to go under the London Bridge I got up to take a picture and spotted something pink in the water and realized afterward it was my cellphone that had fell out of my pocket...Luckily it was just a phone that I use to called my friends after shopping and we used to go out and get wild.

But here all the restaurant so many empty restaurants woa the shock is big and of course, its COVID can they pick a restaurant that is empty no they have to pack themselves all at one spot. Crazy!
They were all down to the borough market.                                                                                                               Tower Bridge there is no bridge like this one even the most prestigious one in ASIA this one was made long, long, time ago it just an amazing design. Well the history is made here and still to this date.

When I was about to go out this morning they just remind me on the telly that there have been 2 terrorist attacks in this area. ...
well, it kind of put me off and the weather too and then I told myself it will be fine. I'm, sure there is probably a book on the bridges of London starting with the one the Roman build. So you could see a lot of bridges not too far from each other but this one has no comparison to other bridges. So let's just say: its well preserve and I went to check it out if it was still broken but I guess they fix it There was also the nice ship the Belfast but it didn't seem to be open for a visit today oh dawn.                                                                                                                                                                                        I head back to my final destination the Borough market.                                                                                      I was really surprised I didn't know about this market at all. I was expecting a market like the caliber of the one in Spain Boqueria in Barcelone or The Mercado Municipal  in Brazil my favorite market of all. But the Borough its the oldest market of London 1,000 years history little stalls here and there under this huge medieval bridge but to my satisfaction way too many french stuff. I was very disappointed. I did like the architecture and all, dont get me wrong but I thought there will be more British stuff. I was aiming for country cheese but this being said all around you can find food for your pleasures and beer for sure. It was very humid today so I was probably not dressed warm enough to enjoy it and it was lunchtime so you want to avoid popular places to the contrary of the British citizens who hangs out like nothing is going on to my disbelieve still.
However, this being said I had fish and chips again for lunch and finally found a cheese stall with local cheese well if you say Ireland is local well it's better than french when you are in this part of the world.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       So I bought some cheese from Ireland and a British one with some very interesting pepper jam to go with it but I'm telling the price of cheese is very expensive now these days it went up tremendously like everything else I guess.
I will come back and browse some more now I was kind of on the edge running away from people it was lunchtime and it was busy.
So I definitely recommend coming here when travel starts again. Plenty of fruits and veggies stalls for sure but I was looking for British stuff mind oy this stall had lovely dish towel and plates... it's worth a detour. But the under bridge structure makes it very unique. a great place to come at night to I'm sure. if it's full at lunchtime.  I came back with a stop at Primark on Oxford yes again I really wanted to get tis nice automn shirt for my mom as she is babby sitting my dog I always bring her back some goodies and a little somehting. And this was in my mind and of course the shirt I saw I didnt buy its quite chilly in my room. I was near the water fornt you know iii

To tell you something
I am so scared when I take the tube in London its so deep so under ground I hold on to the rail way añd look down I look completely stupid this time at London Bridge station you jad to use 2 of them on the way in on the way out it killed me really
Guess what in order to take a better picture of the Bridge I went on it but there was too much traffic and I was in the wrong side to make the city pop but thats life
It aint great picture but for me I did the best I could imagine a flight attendant afraid of heights
On Monday England
People will be allow only 6 people gathering max
Covid is rising...
2,919 cases today 14 deads                    On my way back the cherry on the sundae one of us has been called that he was in contact with someone with covid  I was shocked to hear that so the other flight attendant told me he was called also before leaving Montreal what the fuck so on 2 flight attendant 2 are possible case of covid imagine    they should have stay home or sty at the hotel until they get the result of the test    al I have to say is fuck how can that be i go to work and I can be after being so careful l when i was in town trying to stay outside avoiding crowd and now i just found out that 6 hours and a half and 6 hours come back i was with 2 covid case who knows they dont test them they send them back home with you so be smart stay home
