Browsing in the streets of Japan.
Sad to say but 3 days its not enough to go visit beside Tokyo Kamakura Asakusa Shinjuku...
Wish I could go further to Kyoto or see Mt fuji
But it all cost money at one point and my body doesnt permit me to eat cheap ramen every day...if you know what I mean.
I do walk all day to lose weight so
This being said come along with me.
2 hours and 40 minutes to get to the hotel is way fucking long, especially that the company doesn't provide us with decent buses with the washroom inside. ...
By the time you get there, no one wanted to go out for dinner so I did like them and went to the the grocery stores downstairs grab some Japanese fast food gyoza and some succulent Chinese food with a mini beer and went to my room. You always wonder should you eat thi like this or warmng it up but you finish by eating it: cold it is.
Went to bed like a rock but didn't sleep long enough dam should have gone out it screw my entire stay.
Early in the morning, I had breakfast in my room since I woke up too early to go to the restaurant.
I had oatmeal and tea and left the hotel to get to Asakusa pronounce Asaksa.
I bought myself the Passmo pass again because I left mine at home put some money on and follow the directions given by the concierge.
It's very tricky, I must say some of the metros are express and some have English stop but some have no English at all make sure you sit close to the metro sign or bring your magnifying glasses; it's written so small and most of the time in JAPANESE.
The best if you can afford the internet download a map of the metro in English.
I was happy to go back there. I like it because you get to see people dress in kimono. It's fun. You really feel like you are in another country.
I was supposed to eat some great ramen soup like before but ended up doing like everyone else and lined up to get some chicken at a famous spot.
Afterward, I went to one of their famous coffee shops to pet some animals.

I didn't do it the last time I was there.
It was a bit of a turn off to see and at the same time, I was all excited to see the very intriguing owls in a close and encounter meeting. There were a lot of owls in a tiny little place and I had a chance to see them very close and touch them. This was really awesome except for the standard of the café. Unfortunately, the pictures didn't turn out good at all because of the lighting they put inside but this animal is a very calm bird very cool and very happy to see you.
Loved it.
The little one are so cute and the big one so majestic.
Afterwards, I shop around and had a desert the strawberry dessert but it didn't came close to the one I had at the famous fish market. Trust me for that.
I left Asakusa early in order to get my way back to Yokohama. Strange enough, on the way back I didnt have to change train it was slower but straight forward thanks to the fellow next to me who counted the stops I had to do before I get to Yokohama.
No english here.
I went to the hotel had a nice nap and was ready for my sushi dinner.
All alone....
I decided to check for another sushi place to try something new.
I decided to go inside one of the tiny restaurant.
There was the chef
do we call them chef I'm not sure.
There were the owners, the husband, and wife and one regular customer puffing her cigarette drinking hard liquor all watching baseball on a tiny tv.
So weird,
Oh, what a discovery: The fat tuna Cho toro something like this.
Woa!
it was white compared to red tuna because it had more fat ....had a nice sushi dinner but never enough and it's quite expensive in Japan to eat sushi and the portion is tiny.
I was happy but didn't eat enough...
Day 2
The next day, I decided to take it easy and went to this famous China town, supposedly the biggest outside of China.
My sister said you are in Japan and you went to the Chinese market.
Yes, I did like everyone else do when they come to Yokohama and it was a beautiful day to walk near the waterfront and in the rose garden nearby.
But also because all I had to do is take the metro and go in a straight line and get off all the way to the end like 5 or 6 stops after. An easy day. No puzzle mind game to catch a metro to be in the right lane or to wait for the second metro...
it can be tiring when you don't sleep much and you are jet lag.
I started to notice when I order food I always get serve after the local and have a tinier portion of the same dish. It was just a big rip off but I was starving and was definitely tired of looking for a place to eat. They show you a bunch of plates for a total of so much but when you get out of there they charge you double because you pick something different.
It was such a nice sunny day.
I found myself a nice long coat and a funky sleeveless vest for my mom.
I was very happy of my finding.
I went back to the hotel for a big nap.
I went out again for browsing at Tamashimaya and I went to Uniqlo but found nothing interesting this time.
I went to the basement of Takashimaya and Joinus and another big store and went for sushi again.

Under ground in Japan line up with food stands, restaurant and shops of different kinds so look it up and make sure you go inside those expensive stores. They always have huge variety of food for your eyes content. You must go down and see. I spend hours looking at these weird and strange food items and experience amazing display of interesting food. Watch different chef cooking Japanese specialities.
Again the sushi place I pick was expensive but I prefer the other place a little more typical.

since I can not find maki on this menu, I went for the famous sushi japanese omelette
that was not fresh...
sad indeed
juicy but not fresh....
but again an expensive meal....
I don't want to eat ramen every day, I'm all ready a good size so I tried to stick to sushi
but with all the walking I did, I need something more substantial.
however as much as I would like to eat a terriyaki beef (name a different way)
there is no where around the hotel that offers it only fast food greasy gyoza
Third day
I got up and went under gorund all day before my flight

so I would be tired for my time to go to bed right away after the service but no
thye deicded to change the service and my position so I ended it up n the galley
awful really
becaus eit is more tirering than being in the cabin physically
oh well
I had a good sleep let me tell you

Allez dans un café avec des animaux c'est une mode au Japon moi j'ai choisi les hiboux....les lumières n'étaient pas propice aux photos mai bon je vois que j'adore les hiboux mais sont-ils là
ou ils devraient être et dans quelles conditions même chose pour ce mini renard Japonais dans un mini espace est-ce une vie? Maltraitance je ne sais quoi trop penser mais pauvre petit meme s'ils sont rescapés un renard ne vit pas dans une cage. Le hibou peut quand même volé mas le renard et l autre bibitte étrange. A vous de juger. Encore là ont-ils coupé les aies des autres hiboux?
Ici, on parle japonais seulement
plus loin à l' autre place, il y avait une pancarte avec dessin et nom alors la prochaine fois, je retourne la bas ou le thon etait hallucinant et je commande avec ma photo.

parking pour humains. Le matin ils sont tous stationnés dans un carré et attendent un taxi, un lift, un miracle!
So, finally I decide to go to the biggest China town outside China to do like everybody else and also to be near the water front. Its quite spectaculot actually and of coure an easy ride in the metro for a change.
Its not a visit I would actually do but I'm on a low budget this is why I end up here.
And I ended it up having an expensive lunch bad service because I'm a foreigner, my portion were smaller than the others, my pork was not cook and I waited a very long time. 4 tables were serve before me.
Yes, I'm a foreigner and received a bad service. Everything was cheap until I got to pay and I was fed up to trying to explain what I took was 1500 and not 3900
right...
And this was not on the main street but on a side street so beware and perhaps ask how much you are going to pay before eating. I will definetely do that for sure for now on.
This being said, I'm happy I went to the water front and I have found 2 nice items in a store. One very long soft coat and one nice sleeveless jacket for my mom.
So it ain't bad but the food doesn't come close to real China experience.
Now if you dont like walking long, long, way out, long, long, distance, I suggest to take a tour to visit Japan to avoid all this extra walking for nothing.
