Japan Nihon Japon- Second visit November 2018 # 2
I must say its still very hot in that time of the year.
Early morning its cold but afterwards so hot...
The colors were starting to be beautiful.

Second visit
City splurge: Shibuya
Country side: Kamakura and the island of inoshima
And of course grocery shopping:

Food in Japan
When you enter those 2 amazing grocery stores
It feels like going to another planet
where food comes out in the weirdest form and yet in such a perfection
its yours to discover!
Arrived exhausted from the flight and this ever long lasting ride from the airport 2 hours 40 minutes
too much but for 3 days I can do with it except
there are no washroom on the bus its very difficult and the seats are made for different shape of people so your best bet
take the subway to your hotel

Right after our arrival 15 minutes to be exact we rush out to get some sushi
a little bit of fresh air a feel of the place and some sushi with a beer made it perfect to go to bed early and ready to function the next day.
Oh boy I didnt have coffee yet to attack this maze of directions

now from my observation when you see this its either a bar or a restaurant

And Yokohama
Left for Shubuya with a friend who was going to Shinjuku
I went there in the search of Haikido the famous dog
but first I got some breakfast in Boutor
I went around Shibuya the famous place where the crossing of people is the biggest and busiest in the world
I went there again hoping to get a better picture but at lunch time not too many people crossing
but that was fine. I wanted to take it easy that day. I went a bit of shopping and the day went by. So much walking,
I got my passmo pass stolen or lost who knows but if this happen to you now I know
get your passmo pass with your name on so if you loose it or someone stole it they can not use it and you can have your money back.
So I was suppose to go for lunch at the robot restaurant in Shujuku but lost a big 20.00 or 50.00 amount of money I put on my passmo pass.
I can not remember how much money i put on it

I went back to the hotel
This seem easy to write but not so much to find your way back to your hotel
but i did pretty good
its a work out let me put it this way
its tirering
you had your day and now you have to work your way out
thats the down side of Japan
You always need to be alert and ready to jump on the right metro or train and please dont be afraid to ask if you are in the right lane or not as there are may trains that come on the same plateform at almost 2 minutes (intervals) in between.
Some people climb Mount Everest and some people go in Tokyo subway iii!
I rest my case.
After a cuple of hours of lounging in my room I was ready to go ut at night with my colleagues
even if I walk 21 kilometers in Shibuya. I promise I was going

We went to the Christmas market in Yokohama where we stay

we had to take the metro again at peak time
4 stops away

I didnt think it was that far as I didnt plan this outing
When we got out the subway thousands of people were screaming their heads off
there was a pop star coming out at the same time as we ere going in the mall oh my god!
It was the big star who doesn like to have his picture taken
how bizarre
We went there walk a lot more to see a Christmas market in Japan

it was fun its near the cup of noodle museum the area is pretty to walk along the shore as well
but did not find a noodle place anywhere around bizarre we are near the cup of noodle museum

we still dont know what this one is
so we ended up where the most people were in an italian restaurant
woa it was so good and I had my noodle
but the portion was so tiny

This is the name of the restaurant
We had pasta dishes and we share pizza with great red wine and than we went back home to our hotel.
We all wanted to experience the karaoke in Japan but its quite expensive and its only in private room not with eveyrone around you...
So we decided to pass but on our way to our hotel we took a small back alley. I heard someone sing as bad as me so I said open the door and we ended it up pushing the tiny door where people were singing and were very jolly.
We were invited to sit down and sing along with them.
What a blast we had in such a tiny bar. We were very fortunate to hear the opera singer sing a Japanese opera song. It was amazing.
The 4 of us were sitting and 3 more were standing next to this lovely lady who took care of us offering beer and grapes.
We stayed there until closing time midnight it was 2 hours and a half of full delight.
The best way to mingle with Japanese fellows and ladies.
We really slept well. No not exactly.

So hard the jet lag in Japan more than China I dont know why maybe because I stay there 3 days.
There are so cute.
They are learning english please stop and talk to them so they can improve.

The next morning we met around 10 oclock too late because in Kamakura area there are plenty of activities to do and see.
We left hotel at 10: 30 to go back to Kamakura
Why go back
Well its very interesting and there are so many thingss ot do and for us
1 hour top train ride metro ride is good.
Yokohama to Kamakura
got off to go to this temple and afterwards I left the group to go to the bambou forest at this temple
such an amazing journey in small narrow roads to get there and enjoy this peaceful majestic forest
I was told to eat 2 tiny cookies the size of my finger nails and enjoy my matcha bowl while watching the forest and listening to the water creek.
I could of stayed there all day
but it was time go to back to the island of Nihoshima
I went back down to Kamakura by bus this time
oh my god quite an experience in itself full of elderies and tiny seats. They are really going around visiting and walking I guess eating fish and great japanese tea help them.
The passmo pass is good as well for city bus
I went to take the metro to Haze and than took the electric train so cute to the end of the line

to this island
all alone the walk there are min restaurants and bar
thna you go on the bridge
and if you are lucky you can see mont fuji on a clear day I did at the end but no more batterie in my cell phone.
So you get there and walk to the top. Another 2 km up I dont know but there are a lot of stairs
but before you go do one stop for this incredible crepe with a shrimp design on the left side where there is a huge line up.

In temple you get a paper good you tied it up or keep it bad you burn it
I guess it was a good day here
but than again we are at the temple of good fortune
Now, I stay here I wont be able to get up anyway after all those stairs
and the view
unbelievable
and walk to the top
The monks play some music and many shrines await for your visit and than walk your way to the top of the island where you can have a beautiful meal at the restaurant. Its not japanese but italian again
i wanted to have seafood but what can I say.
I got spaghetti vongole with garlic I ask

and the sun set as well beautiful but I had to rush
I was afraid to miss the last train
I went back to the hotel and was lucky to see Fuji but no batterie in my cellphone.
I still have so much to see on that island
and I wanted to taste the sea food down below the mountain but was to afraid to miss the train ...
Next time I would visit the caves, soak in water visit aquarium ....
The last day
I spend it close to the hotel. I went shopping around the hotel at the grocery store watching every single items they sell.
I did all my Christmas shopping in Japan. Its nicely wrap like they know how to do it.
And later on I went back to work. COuld not sleep either for my rest time or in the bus.
Its so hard....
2 hours and a half ride back to the airport before a flight its tough.
I love to discover Japan but if you are not use to get by in a metro better get use to it before your trip or else you are in for a big headache.
