Jour 1
Nihon
I was there ounce a brief 24 hours after escaping South Korea. I must say it was more expensive at that time now its not too bad.
I stayed 3 days !
I was very excited!
So
13 hours... flight
1 hour to get out of the airport custom finger prints...and all.
2 hours bus ride
and I was not able to sleep during my break
my day was more than long
extra long, all dress!
and not being able to go to the washroom in the bus to the hotel is not human either.
We stayed in Yokohama a suburb of Tokyo of 3.3. millions people;
all Japanese
with the exception of a few tourists.
Japan
Yokohama
Asakusa
Shibuya
Kamakura
we just drove 60 km from Narita airport
we still have another 60 to go
after a 13 hours...flight and no toilet in the bus
its a very long drive to the hotel
I was unable to sleep either people talking none stop
Huge bizarre building
So I went around the hotel by myself as no one wanted to eat sushi. How bizarre!
So I went not too far to find my real Japanese sushi and came back to the hotel for a well deserve sleep.
5 hours
turn and flip
turn and flip...
Japanese people dont speak english even in a 4 stars hotel
as much as their hospitality is grand their english is veyr limited indeed. Not even funny when you stay in a 4 stars hotel.
In case of an emergency...you are on your own.
woa I was hoping to find sushi place every where but nup!
To tell you the truth, I had a hard time finding one but it was interesting to walk around tho.
This place looked like fun and it was full of people.
(The next day we did came here for a beer and had a good Japanese happy hour time but again translation was pathetic.
google translator as well.
oh well! A good reason to drink more beeru!)
I finally found a sushi place they told me to come back in 12 minutes.
I did. I even went there for lunch on my departure but for my first dinner, I was a bit shy on the quantity of food I could eat since my head was no longer functionning and I had to figure out how much was a canadian dollar worth in yen.
I had some red tuna sushi
some red tuna sushi
and some more red tuna sushi
my favortie and a Kirin beer
I got out and went to the grocery store to find a bag of chips
I guess I was tired
all I saw was plastic all over
and some kind of munchies with fish
ok time to go back to the hotel and get some rest...

You can practice your Japanese withe clerk early in hte morning or show them the picture you want.
So, while I decided to see if I was going to meet and visit with the rest of the crew or not because it was a bit drizzling, I decided to go get my metro pass since Passmo because Im coming back again in Japan might as well be prepared.
Yes, there are plenty of other restaurants in the morning for breakfast
They all are at the mall Join us underground
now, I know.
Hotel breakfast is 20,00 with a 20% discount, I am not going to spend that much money for breakfast for 3 days are you nuts! 1 maybe to find out what they eat but for the rest no way.
Now that I had my coffee fix and some food in my stomach Im ready for adventure.
My stomach doesn t feel Matcha crave that early in the morning
Oh my Boudha!
I spend over an hour just to look at this Japanese circus of crazy life in Japan.
figure out this machine takes more than a wiz kid
You need to get a Passmo pass similar to the oyster card in London
you put some money a little deposit and the way you go
and if you ran out
you put more money on it as you go along no problem there.
Ask the blue man in the little boot he will help you out
no english tho....but we manage.

Great grocery store to stop for a mandarin juice and for breakfast...next time sake
