DAY 5
9 heures 52 mins 628 km ( according to Google)
Konso-Arba Minch-
Arba Minch Addis Ababa- 1 hour flight
Addis Abeba -Frankfurt- 7 hours 5 mins
Frankfurt wait- 4hours
Frankfurt Montreal 7 hours 55 minutes
Montreal-home 1 hour
The longest day ever but was so happy to have had a great trip no an amazing trip!
Woke up in the middle of bugs
My net did a good job
My sister had more bugs then me atouch!
3 hours sleep average on 5 days this is how we look like iii
hotel view
we are next to a bank
We unfortunately didn't have time to visit Konso, the city they call New York
but we hang out at a local bar last night and had dinner there and a couple of beers.
St George I love you!
Waking up Konso beat
big step
my side of the view
the back yard
It's amazing, among all this to see a satelite dish
hum not a nice view!
this is the town where people get their tire fix
most of the time, you see broken cars or trucks on the road that will stay there for ever since its too expensive to bring back for repair so be aware
better let a local drive the car
water tank for hotel guests
getting ready for the last time
fuel on top bag of charcoal
police gards they mostly work in stopping Kenyans going by with illicite stuff and checking the bank.
ready set go
busy morning here
a town with no coffee how bizarre
no coffee shop with coffee
The night before we went for dinner behind this building in a bar unbelievable it was dark so we didnt see much out there but let me tell you the sky was full of stars never saw so many woa
Good news! My sister found her pictures!
That morning we saw a lot of people with different tribe gears
loads of trucks a long the road ready to go
We didn't have time to visit this city.
The soldiers in front of our hotel were waking up to the sound of our steps down the stairs, ready to go.
They stay there sleeping in a sleeping bag
the receptionist sleep behind the counter
We drove out of Konso without finding a place for breakfast.
Who cares: The city of terrible bread with the smell of rotton GProck
brr no more bread from Konso
the bad German guy can keep it for himself at Kampa Lodge.
Liar man who gives Ethiopia bad reputation.
No time to waist here any longer.
Thnk god!The drive is so spectaculor we had to stop every where to take memorable pictures
my sister decided to sat on the roof
there is too much to take in so little time
we just have a blast to see all this
we are bless to see all this
really
The early morning walk of people along the road with their little back pack, tanks of water going to work in those amazing fields of vegetables, trees, crops of all sorts, from the bottom of the road to the top of the mountains.
Where suddenly the scenery changes to the banana plantations where men sell their banana roots, the full banana crop on the side of the road.
You can smell beautiful aroma of fruits.
We met mango girl sellers so happy to see us buying their fresh fruits.
Then we enter the national park to see the baboons.
But first a coffee stop
I prefer a coke or should I say my stomach prefer a coca cola
they really look like twins
my sister looking out the window
carrying food for the animals
morenga tree the miracle tree
beautiful village up on the mountains
even the little one has to carry his water kit
old calbass to carry water
water
river needs to be filled up
people need to fill their jug
majestic tree
honey
its amazing to see this
perch up above in the tree
infinite view of fields mountains
we are lucky to have seen Ethiopia now before it get ruins by loads of tourists
working hard at a young age too
Beautiful lake around Arba Minch
Tilapia paradise
you can not buy just one banana you have to buy 30-40 of them the entire thing
car wash in Ethiopia
a banana plantation of a friend of mine so big so nice
Lesson # 1 How to spot a monkey a baboon?
Lesson # 2 Empty your camera before getting more picture
Lesson # 3 Try to enjoy the moment even tho yo have to erase 10 pictures to get 1
Lesson # 4 Should have learn how to speak Baboon before I left
Well I did a friend told me to do a certain sign with my fist close when I see one and so I did and they all came to see us How lovely!
blue balls
did we forgot the baboons lunch
ya we did but its for the better
can oyu spot the animal
conference at the summit
intimate moment
He or she got up lift up the rock to get more ants under it
We arrived in the city
time was ticking
Danielle my sister lost her passport the tickets
find it back
rush to pay the guides
thank them all
Went to the ticket office
Went for lunch
relax a little before catching the plane back to addis ababa
Tourist hotel
lovely lunch
huge piece of tilapia
rice
and green sauce
coca cola
omg i could have 3 plates of this I was so hungry
we were surrounded by Ethiopian cats, kind of Bengal cats, very high up jumping arround for food
and dik dik the smallest deer ever they come up to you knees so tiny so fragile so cute
we finish our lovely meal with a nice cup of coffee
the place is jam pack of people
so
my advice when you go to the washroom no matter where you are make sure you have your toilet paper or else they will charge you 1 dollar for a napkin...
our chauffeur had time for a quick shower and came to join us for an engera meal
Im telling you thats all I saw him eat so it is the local dish
well it has everything all sorts of meat sauce and crepe to dig in
lost my cell phone its not in the car anymore
it slide off the back seat
the chauffeur Gri finds it back
yeah
say
goodbye everyone our excellent chauffeur GRI
waited for our plane to arrived in a small quaint airport
where you can tell everyone had a marvellous time in this wonderful region
incredible to see all this in such a short time
and I saw so many nice thing that it was time for me to go
why spend another day in the city to see beautiful stuff to buy when you dont have the money for it so I decided to go back home that very same day
it was perfect because when I arrived in Franckfurt I guess I got my days screwed up
and it was the right time to go
too many last minute changes
And when you travel stand by you rather take a few days extra to come back just in case
so I went with my sister to the hotel in Addis pay the hotel
room
got my stuff
ate a bite of a great pizza that arrived too late and left
completeley flabergasted but this country and its people
